I'll use your empty little skull to break in my new 3- Iron

(in the car, talking about that 3-Iron movie)

JP: ...I liked it. It had a pretty good flow, it was even a bit poetic in the way in flowed. I thought it was cool.

Elisa: ... yeah, I dunno. I guess I'm not really into many of those Japanese movies.

JP: They don't like Japanese movies either. They like Korean movies.

Elisa: Ah, well, Excuse me all to hell.

3/7/07

-- Driving around, listening to the new Arcade Fire CD --

JP: What do you think? Not bad, huh?

Elisa: It just sounds like they are ripping off a bunch of other bands. All this is stuff we could be listening to someone else do better.

JP: Yeah, well, they are inspired by other bands, and it's not bad.

Elisa: This song just sounds like New Order mixed with Echo and the Bunnymen, only lamer.

JP: Yeah, well, they're just what? They picked up where your precious Echo left off and now you're crying about no more Echo albums.

(JP basks in the glory of the High Fidelity qoute)

Elisa: Well, I walked right into that one.

JP: Yeah! Ooooo. That. Just. Happend.

_____

All you need is broccoli

-- at the apartment, JP making dinner --

JP: Honey, are you going to eat some of these peas with me?

Elisa: You know I don't like peas.

JP: Well, try them anyway... All I am saying, is give peas a chance!

_____

Old Sad Bastard Music

-- Driving around, listening to JP's mix CD --

Elisa: What the hell is this?

JP: umm, It's the new Bell and Sebastien

(pause)

Elisa: If this song was a boyfriend, I would break up with it for being too nice.

launch of a new blog

We wanted to create this blog because I say so many great and funny things all the time and it is just a shame that 1) We are the only people who get to enjoy them and 2) we only get to enjoy them once (or twice if I repeat it).

But wouldn't it be great to save all those wonderful quips and quotes to reflect back on at a later day? I think so, and it is my pleasure to give you: Overheard in South Bend
